IOCB will be performing Boxing as guest artists of the College of Marin Fall Dance Concert. Boxing is an intimate examination of identity as expressed through the metaphor of a Rubik's Cube. As IOCB's most experimental piece to date, Boxing pokes fun at our attempts to "solve" ourselves by putting ourselves into boxes, and ultimately reminds us of our limitless nature.

Beer for Bali! Fundraising Event

  • Woods Bar and Brewery

Inside Out Contemporary Ballet is launching their first fundraising event in support of "If I Were You - Project Bali". Our host, Woods Bar and Brewery, has been hard at work crafting a unique beer inspired by Balinese flavors such as coconut and dragon fruit. 100% of the sales of this beer go towards the travel expenses associated with "If I Were You - Project Bali". It's time to get this show on the road!

From 6:00-8:00pm IOCB dancers will perform live improvisations upstairs at Woods Bar & Brewery, and the beer will be on tap all night.

Please share this with your friends and family and join us for what will surely be an evening to remember!

For the third year in a row, IOCB has been invited to perform as guest artists at the College of Marin Spring Dance Concert. We will be performing an excerpt of If I Were You - Project Israel. We hope to see you there.

The second iteration of a long-term international outreach project, If I Were You is a community-inspired dance collaboration that enlists the personal experiences and voices of global citizens to illuminate how dance can connect us to our shared humanity. Throughout Casey Lee Thorne’s Fulbright Fellowship to Israel, she conducted free community outreach workshops throughout Israeli and Palestinian Territories to examine the role of dance in self-discovery and community-building. IOCB anticipates that this piece will simultaneously challenge – and affirm – its belief that dance exposes that which is most personal and most universal.
